Association between Cardiovascular Health, C-Reactive Protein, and Comorbidities in Spanish Urban-Dwelling Overweight/Obese Hypertensive Patients

چکیده

The relationship between poorer cardiovascular health metrics (CVHM) plus low-grade inflammation (LGI) and hypertension-mediated organ damage (HMOD) hypertension-related comorbidities (HRC) in hypertensive populations with an overweight/obese (Ow/Ob) phenotype is understudied. We examined the CVHM score presence of LGI Ow/Ob hypertension-associated morbidities mortality 243 patients from urban primary care center. recorded baseline clinical data, including hs-C-reactive protein (CRP) prevalent incident HMOD-HRC death. A total 26 (10.7%) had a body mass index (BMI) < 25 kg/m2, 95 (31.1%) were overweight (BMI 25–29.9 kg/m2), 122 (50.2%) obese ≥ 30 kg/m2). There 264 cases 9 deaths. Higher hs-CRP levels observed as BMI increased. Linear regression analysis showed significant correlation hs-CRP, adjusted for confounders. Additionally, individuals higher tertile increase BMI. Significantly lower log found number ideal scores rose. Multivariate binary logistic risk increased significantly decreased, also correlated whole cohort Ow Ob subpopulations. These findings highlight need early intervention targeting CVHMs among order to attenuate inflammatory state prevent disease.

Investigating relationship between C- reactive protein and obesity in adults

Introduction: Association between plasma high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (CRP) concentrations and cardiovascular disease has been Investigated. C-reactive protein (CRP) is an acute phase reactant which is a marker of inflammation in the body. CRP is made by the liver in response to inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNFα). Adipose ti...

Association between Depression and C-Reactive Protein

Objective. Depression has been associated with increased cardiovascular disease risk, and a depression-related elevation of high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) has been proposed as a possible mechanism. The objective of this paper is to examine association between depression and high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP). Methods. Subjects consisted of 508 healthy adults (mean age 48...

Relationship between High-Density Lipoprotein and C-reactive Protein in Patients with Atherosclerosis

Abstract Background and Objective: Atherosclerosis is an inflammatory disease mostly caused by oxidation of low density lipoproteins (LDLs) while High-density lipoproteins (HDLs) oppose atherosclerosis by inhibiting the oxidation of LDLs. Serum concentration of C- reactive protein (CRP) also increases as an acute phase protein in inflammatory conditions like atherosclerosis. We aimed to evalu...

"association between periodontal disease and elevated c-reactive protein in acute myocardial infarction patients "

statement of problem: periodontal disease (pd) has been linked to adverse cardiovascular events by unknown mechanisms. c-reactive protein (crp) is a prognostic marker for cardiovascular disease, with reported elevated serum levels during pd. purpose: the aim of the present study was to evaluate the association between pd and higher crp levels in the serum of acute myocardial infarction (ami) pa...

Association between high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels and the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and/or microembolic signals after carotid angioplasty and stenting

Background: To evaluate the association between pre/post-procedural high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) level and hs-CRP difference, and the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) or new diffusion-weighted MRI lesions after carotid angioplasty and stenting (CAS). Methods: In this study, conducted in 2016 in Shiraz (Iran), patients who underwent diagnostic angiography and CAS...
